About American Legion Golf Course
The American Legion Golf Course, now known as Tribute Golf Course, is a historic 9-hole course in Wausau, Wisconsin, established in 1929 by the American Legion Post 10. As the city's first public golf course, it has been a cornerstone for local golfers, offering a parkland-style layout with a par of 34 and a total yardage of approximately 2,819 yards from the back tees. The course features a mix of par-3 and par-4 holes, with the longest hole measuring 410 yards. Over the years, it has undergone enhancements, including the addition of new tee areas and a par-3 hole, while maintaining its commitment to honoring veterans and providing an accessible golfing experience for the community.
