About Greenwood Golf Club

Greenwood Golf Club was a private golf club located in Sarnia, Ontario. It opened in 1934 and operated until 2018 when it was forced to close due to financial difficulties. Over the years, Greenwood Golf Club hosted many high-profile events and tournaments, including the Ontario Ladies Amateur Championship, the Ontario Senior Men's Championship, and the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship. The club was known for its challenging course layout, which featured narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and undulating greens. It was designed by renowned golf course architects Stanley Thompson and Robbie Robinson. Although the club is no longer open, the property has been purchased by a developer who plans to transform it into a housing development.
