Ballochmyle is a historic estate located in Mauchline, East Ayrshire, Scotland. It was originally owned by the Whitefoord family and later acquired by the McAdam family, who built a mansion on the estate in the 18th century. The estate is best known for its association with Robert Burns, who composed his famous love song "The Bonnie Lass o' Ballochmyle" in honor of Miss Wilhelmina Alexander, who lived on the estate. Today, the estate is a popular tourist attraction and is open to the public for walking and exploring its beautiful gardens and woodland trails.
