Beerwah is a small town located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland region of Queensland, Australia. It is perhaps most famous for being the hometown of Steve Irwin, the late conservationist and TV personality also known as the "Crocodile Hunter". Beerwah is situated at the base of the Glass House Mountains, which are a series of volcanic peaks that provide a picturesque backdrop to the town. Beerwah is home to a number of shops, restaurants, and attractions, including the popular Australia Zoo, which was founded by the Irwin family. The town also hosts an annual country music festival known as the Beerwah C&D Bull Ride and Country Music Spectacular.
