About Ton Son Nhat
Ton Son Nhat is the largest airport in Vietnam and serves as the primary gateway into the country. It is located in Ho Chi Minh City and handles both domestic and international flights. The airport was originally built in the 1930s by the French colonial government and has undergone several renovations over the years to accommodate the increasing number of passengers. In 2017, the airport served over 32 million passengers and is expected to continue growing. The airport is named after a famous Vietnamese revolutionary, Nguyen Van Troi, who attempted to assassinate the US Secretary of Defense during the Vietnam War.
