About Lees Hall

Lees Hall is a historical manor house located in the Norton area of Sheffield, England. The original hall was built in the early 16th century but it was extensively renovated in the 18th century in the Georgian style. It was occupied by the influential Grey family for over 250 years until the mid-19th century when it became a boys' school. During World War II, the hall was requisitioned by the military and used as a hospital before being converted into a school again in the 1950s. In the 1970s, the hall was purchased by Sheffield City Council and used as a social services office until it was closed in the late 1990s. Today, Lees Hall is a Grade II* listed building and has been converted into luxury apartments. The building's original features such as the ornate stucco work and panelled rooms have been carefully restored while modern amenities have been added. The hall is surrounded by landscaped gardens and is situated within easy reach of the city centre.
