About Styrrup Hall

Styrrup Hall is a Georgian country house located in the village of Styrrup, Blyth, in Nottinghamshire, England. The property was built in 1774 by the architect Robert Adam for the aristocratic Wharton family. It features a symmetrical facade with stone quoins, pediments, and a grand entrance. The interior of the house contains a sweeping staircase, ornate plasterwork, and decorative features such as Ionic columns and marble fireplaces. Styrrup Hall has a rich history, and over the years it has been used as a family home, a hotel, and a wedding and events venue. During World War II, the property was taken over by the British army and used as a military barracks. In 1999, the property was extensively renovated and restored to its former glory, preserving many of its original features. Today, Styrrup Hall is a popular destination for weddings, corporate events, and private functions. The estate includes landscaped gardens, a lake, and a golf course, providing a beautiful setting for any occasion.
