Stittsville is a suburban community located in the western part of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was originally known as Glen Mar, but was renamed in honour of Jackson Stitt, the first postmaster of the community.
Stittsville has a small town feel and a strong community spirit, with numerous annual events such as the Stittsville Farmers' Market, Canada Day celebrations, and the Parade of Lights.
There are many green spaces and parks in Stittsville, including the Carp River and the Trans Canada Trail. The community also has a number of recreational facilities, including the Goulbourn Recreation Complex and the Johnny Leroux Arena.
