Las Vegas Paiute is a Native American tribe that is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They are part of the larger Paiute tribe which once dominated much of the Great Basin region. Today, the Las Vegas Paiute tribe operates several businesses in the Las Vegas area including a golf course, a smoke shop, and a travel plaza. The tribe is also actively involved in cultural preservation and education, as well as community outreach programs. The Las Vegas Paiute tribe is recognized by the federal government as a sovereign nation and has its own government, laws, and court system.
