Llantrisant and Pontyclun are two neighbouring towns in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. Llantrisant is situated on top of a hill, and was once an important centre for the Welsh wool trade. Today, it is known for its historic architecture, including the 13th century castle ruins and the impressive 15th century church of St. Illtud's. Pontyclun, on the other hand, lies in the Ely Valley and is situated at the junction of the A4119 and A4222 roads.
