About World Houston Golf Course
The World Houston Golf Course (Closed) was formerly located near the Houston Intercontinental Airport in Houston, TX. It was opened in 1983 but was closed in 2015 due to financial difficulties. The 18-hole course was designed by Jay Riviere and hosted several professional golf events throughout its existence. The course was known for its challenging layout and scenic water hazards. In its prime, it was considered one of the premier golf courses in the Houston area. Today, the property has been acquired by the Houston Airport System for expansion purposes.
