About Duck Creek
Duck Creek is a tributary of the Trinity River that flows through Garland, Texas. It is approximately 22 miles long and covers a watershed of 44 square miles. The creek is named for the numerous ducks that once inhabited the area. It is known for its natural beauty and is a popular destination for hiking, biking, and fishing. However, because of urbanization and development, the creek has experienced flooding, erosion, and water quality issues over the years.
