About Papwa
The Papwa golf club is named after Sewsunker "Papwa" Sewgolum, a South African golfer of Indian descent who achieved great success despite being subjected to racial discrimination during the apartheid era. The golf course is located in Durban, South Africa, and was opened in 1994 to honor Papwa's legacy. The course is characterized by its challenging layout and towering trees, which provide a beautiful backdrop for golfers. The Papwa Golf Club hosts a number of tournaments throughout the year, including a flagship event that brings together golfers from all across the country.
