About Algonkian Golf Course
Algonkian Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Sterling, Virginia. It was designed by Ed Ault and opened for play in 1962. The course measures 6,701 yards from the back tees and features water hazards, bunkers, and tree-lined fairways. The course has been recognized for its environmental stewardship practices, including the use of "natural grasses and native plants" for landscaping and irrigation. In addition to golfing, the facility includes a driving range, putting green, pro shop, and a restaurant. The course is owned and operated by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority.
