About Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club

Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club is a historic golf club situated in Forest Row, East Sussex. It was founded in 1888 and is one of the oldest golf clubs in England. The club's Old Course is known for its challenging terrain, featuring narrow fairways, heather and bracken, and sloping greens. The course has been ranked among the top 10 heathland courses in the country. The club also has a second, less challenging course called the West Course. The clubhouse, which was built in the 19th century, provides stunning views of the surrounding forested landscape. Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club has hosted several important golf events over the years, including the British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship in 1937 and 1959, and the English Amateur Championship in 1997 and 2012.
