About MacGregor Downs Country Club
MacGregor Downs Country Club is a private, member-owned golf and tennis club located in Cary, North Carolina. It was founded in 1967 and was designed by Willard Byrd as an 18-hole championship golf course. The club has the only tennis facility in the Triangle area with 27 clay and hard tennis courts, an indoor tennis center, and a full-service pro shop. It has been ranked as one of the top tennis facilities in the nation by the United States Tennis Association. In addition to golf and tennis, MacGregor Downs also has a 25-meter Jr. Olympic-size swimming pool, a fitness center, dining options, and a variety of social events for members. The clubhouse has undergone recent renovations, including a new outdoor dining area, expanded fitness center, and updated locker rooms. MacGregor Downs is a popular venue for weddings and other special events, with both indoor and outdoor event spaces available.
