The University of Georgia (UGA) is a public research university located in Athens, Georgia. It was founded in 1785, making it one of the oldest public universities in the United States. UGA is ranked as one of the best value colleges in the nation and is known for its strong academic programs in business, education, law, and agriculture. The university has a diverse student population of more than 38,000 students, with over 27,000 undergraduates and 9,000 graduate students.
