About Amakusa Golf Course
Cherry Golf Amakusa Course, established in 1966 and designed by Yoshimura Norihiro, is an 18-hole, par-72 mountain course located in Kamiamakusa, Kumamoto, Japan. The course features a variety of elevation changes, including uphill and downhill shots, creating an engaging and diverse golfing experience. The front nine offers challenging holes with valley and pond crossings, particularly the 5th and 7th holes. The back nine, set on higher terrain, can become tricky when the wind picks up. With numerous bunkers throughout, accuracy in shot-making is more important than distance to achieve a good score. The course is designed by Tokihiro Yoshimura and features bentgrass greens.
