About The Rockaway Hunting Club
The Rockaway Hunting Club, located in Lawrence, NY, was founded in 1878 and is one of the oldest private golf clubs in the United States. The original course was designed by Devereux Emmet and has since been updated by renowned golf architects Donald Ross and A.W. Tillinghast. In addition to golf, the club offers a variety of other amenities including tennis courts, a swimming pool, and fine dining. The club has also hosted several well-known golf competitions, including the 1913 U.S. Open which was won by Francis Ouimet.
