About Rattlesnake Point

Rattlesnake Point is a popular conservation area located in the town of Milton, Ontario, Canada. It is known for its stunning views of the surrounding Niagara Escarpment, which is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The area is especially popular among hikers, rock climbers, and nature enthusiasts, thanks to the several kilometers of trails that run through the conservation area, as well as the abundance of wildlife and plant species that can be observed. The park is named after the Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake, a venomous species of snake that can sometimes be found in this area. Despite its name, however, encounters with rattlesnakes are rare and visitors are advised to stay on marked trails and keep a safe distance from wildlife.
