About Banff Golf Course
The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, located in Banff, Alberta, Canada, is a renowned 27-hole golf facility set amidst the stunning Canadian Rockies. Originally opened in 1911 as a nine-hole course designed by Bill Thomson, it was expanded to 18 holes by Donald Ross in 1924 and later transformed into its current layout by the esteemed Canadian golf architect Stanley Thompson in 1928. The course is celebrated for its breathtaking mountain views and the iconic par-3 fourth hole, known as 'Devil's Cauldron,' which requires a tee shot over a glacial lake to a bowl-shaped green. Over the years, the course has hosted notable events, including the Telus Skins Game in 2006 and 2011.
