Gosforth Golf Club, established in 1906 and affectionately known as 'The Bridlepath,' is located in the leafy suburb of Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. The 18-hole parkland course offers a mix of challenging long holes and interesting short ones, with the 18th hole recognized as one of the toughest finishing holes in the North East. The club has a rich history, having produced notable players such as English Amateur Champion Alan Thirlwell and Jenny Lee Smith, winner of the first Women's British Open.
