About Kutsher's Country Club

Kutsher's Country Club was a resort and golf club located in Monticello, New York. It was established in 1907 and was widely popular during the golden age of the Catskills resorts. The resort featured an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and other amenities. It also hosted various events and performances, including the annual Catskills Invitational basketball tournament. Kutsher's was known for its Jewish identity and had a long history of catering to Jewish guests, including hosting numerous Passover programs. It was considered a landmark of the Jewish community in the Catskills and became a cultural icon. However, the resort faced financial troubles in recent years and officially closed down in 2014. Despite attempts to revive the property, Kutsher's was eventually sold and demolished. Today, there is nothing remaining of the once popular resort except for memories and photographs.
