About Mt. Adams

Mt. Adams is a prominent volcanic peak located in the Cascade Range of Washington state, near the city of Toppenish. It is the second-highest peak in the state, rising to an elevation of 12,281 feet (3,743 meters). Mt. Adams is considered an active volcano, although it has not erupted in over 1,000 years. The mountain is a popular destination for hiking, camping, and skiing, with several trails and campgrounds available for visitors. Additionally, the Yakama Nation Indian Reservation, which encompasses Mt. Adams, is home to several native plant and animal species, as well as cultural sites and traditions.
