About Calverton Links

Calverton Links is a former golf course located in Calverton, New York, on Long Island's eastern end. The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and opened in 1965. The course was known for its challenging layout, featuring narrow fairways and small, undulating greens. In 2002, the course was purchased by the Town of Riverhead, which intended to use it as a public park. In 2013, the golf course was closed due to financial problems, and the land was put up for sale. As of 2021, the property remains undeveloped.
