About Sutton Hall

Sutton Hall was a historic country house located in Sutton, Cheshire, England. It was built in the early 17th century and was extensively remodelled in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Hall was famous for its beautiful gardens and parkland which stretched across 400 acres. Over the years, Sutton Hall served many purposes including serving as a residence for a wealthy family, a school for boys, and a hotel. In the early 1900s, it was turned into a sanatorium for the treatment of tuberculosis patients. Sadly, the Hall fell into disrepair in the 20th century and was eventually closed in 2007. The building has since been abandoned and is currently in a state of disrepair. Despite its current condition, Sutton Hall remains a popular site for urban explorers and photographers. The local council has expressed concern over the deteriorating state of the building and is currently exploring ways to restore and repurpose Sutton Hall for future use.
