About Wilson and Harding Golf Courses
Wilson and Harding Golf Courses are two separate 18-hole golf courses located in Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Both courses are municipal golf courses managed by the Los Angeles City Department of Recreation and Parks.
The Harding Course is the older of the two courses and was designed in 1923 by golf course architect George C. Thomas Jr. The course is named after President Warren G. Harding who played there in the early 1920s. The par-71 course measures over 6,500 yards from the back tees and offers stunning views of the San Fernando Valley.
The Wilson Course, on the other hand, was designed by golf course architect William P. Bell and opened for play in 1927. It is named after President Woodrow Wilson who signed the legislation creating Griffith Park. The par-72 course measures around 6,800 yards from the back tees and features wide fairways and challenging greens.
Both courses are popular among golfers of all skill levels and offer a variety of amenities including a driving range, putting green, and golf carts for rent. In addition, the courses have a clubhouse, a pro-shop, and a bar and grill. The courses are open seven days a week and offer affordable green fees, making them accessible to golfers of all budgets.
