About Newport Country Club

Newport Country Club, established in 1893 in Newport, Rhode Island, is a historic private golf club designed by William F. Davis and later renovated by A.W. Tillinghast. The club hosted the inaugural U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur Championships in 1895 and has since been the venue for several prestigious tournaments, including the U.S. Women's Open in 2006 and the U.S. Senior Open in 2024.
