About D. Fairchild Wheeler
D. Fairchild Wheeler is a municipal golf club that first opened in 1969. It is named after aviator and member of the Fairfield community, D. Fairchild Wheeler. The club features two 18-hole courses: the Black Course and the Red Course. The Black Course is a challenging, championship-level course designed by Joe Jemsek, while the Red Course is a more forgiving course that is popular with beginners and casual golfers. In addition to golfing, the club also offers a driving range, practice greens, and a pro shop. The club is owned and operated by the town of Fairfield and is open to the public.
