Harewood is a suburb located in the northern part of Christchurch, New Zealand. It was named after Harewood House, a stately home in England, and was originally known as Harewood Estate. Today, it is a mix of residential, industrial and commercial areas, and is home to several schools, including the Christ the King Catholic School and Harewood Primary School. The Christchurch International Airport is also located in Harewood, making it a hub for travel and trade in the region. Harewood is known for its beautiful parks and green spaces, including the popular Groynes recreational area, which features several walking tracks, picnic areas, and playgrounds.
