About Kantarat
Kantarat is a district in Bangkok, located in the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is home to several landmarks, including the historic Thammasat University, which was established in 1934 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Thailand. The district is also known for the King Rama VIII Bridge, which connects Kantarat to the Thonburi area. The bridge, which was opened in 2002, is a cable-stayed bridge that is 475 meters long and is the longest asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge in the world. Additionally, Kantarat is home to a number of government offices, museums, and cultural centers.
