Tamarisk Country Club, established in 1952 in Rancho Mirage, California, was designed by William F. Bell and William P. Bell, with a clubhouse by architect William Francis Cody. The club has hosted the Bob Hope Classic 19 times and was the first to hire Ben Hogan as its golf professional. Notable members included Frank Sinatra, who resided along the 17th fairway, and other celebrities like Jack Benny and the Marx Brothers.
