About Kings Mill

Kings Mill is a historic landmark in Waldo, Ohio that was originally built in the early 1800s as a grist mill. The mill was powered by the nearby Whetstone River and was instrumental in supporting the local farming community by providing a place to grind grain into flour. The mill was eventually converted into a sawmill in the early 1900s and continued to operate until 1969. It was then restored and converted into a gift shop and restaurant known for its homemade pies and operated until 2000. Today, Kings Mill is a popular spot for weddings and events, and visitors can still see the historic mill wheel turning and explore the various structures on the property. The site also includes a nature trail that follows the Whetstone River and offers glimpses of local wildlife.
