About Trivandrum Golf Club
Established in the 1850s during the reign of Sri Uthram Thirunal Marthanda Varma, Trivandrum Golf Club in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is one of India's oldest golf courses. Redesigned in the 1960s by renowned architect Peter Thomson, the 9-hole, par-34 course spans approximately 2,645 yards and is set amidst lush greenery with over 1,000 species of trees and plants. The club features a historic clubhouse blending Colonial and Kerala architecture and is currently managed by the Sports Authority of India, hosting the National Golf Academy to promote youth development in golf.
