About Middleton Hall
Middleton Hall is a historic Grade II listed building located in the village of Middleton, Norfolk, England. The hall was built in the early 17th century and was originally owned by the Coningsby family. It was later owned by Sir William Burroughs, a prominent lawyer and judge, and the family of Viscount Anson, who added a Georgian facade to the building. During World War II, Middleton Hall was used as a headquarters and training center for the Royal Air Force. After the war, the hall was used as a school and then as a hotel. In the 1980s, the building was converted into luxury apartments. Today, Middleton Hall is set within 48 acres of gardens and woodland, and is open to the public during the summer months. The hall is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, owls, and bats, and the gardens contain a walled garden, an orchard, and a lake. The hall is also a popular venue for weddings and events, and has been used as a filming location for several TV shows and films, including BBC's "Pride and Prejudice".
