About Town of Colonie
The Town of Colonie is actually located in Albany County, not Schenectady. It is the largest suburb of Albany and has a population of approximately 85,000 people. The town is home to Albany International Airport and many shopping centers, including Colonie Center and Latham Farms. The Colonie Youth Center provides recreational and educational programming to local youth. Additionally, the Town of Colonie has 10 parks and recreational facilities, including The Crossings of Colonie, a popular park with walking trails, playgrounds, and a pond for fishing.
