Gettysburg National Cemetery is a 17-acre cemetery located on Cemetery Hill in the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It is the final resting place for more than 3,500 Union soldiers who died during the Battle of Gettysburg fought from July 1 to 3, 1863. The cemetery was dedicated on November 19, 1863, and is most famous for being the site of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. The cemetery is managed by the National Park Service as part of the Gettysburg National Military Park. Visitors can tour the cemetery and pay their respects to the soldiers who gave their lives at the Battle of Gettysburg.
