About Scott Park
Scott Park is a public park located in the center of Silver City, New Mexico. It was established in 1935 and is named after W. K. Scott, a prominent businessman and civic leader in the community. The park is three acres in size and features a variety of recreational amenities, including a playground, picnic tables, a basketball court, and a walking/jogging path. Additionally, the park is home to several historic monuments, including a statue of Billy the Kid, a tribute to the Mimbres people and their pottery, and a memorial to local veterans. Scott Park is a popular gathering place for community events and celebrations, including concerts, festivals, and Fourth of July fireworks.
