About Bala Golf Club
Bala Golf Club is a private golf club located in the Bala Cynwyd neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1901, it is one of the oldest golf clubs in the Philadelphia area. The course was designed by Scottish architect Willie Tucker and features 18 holes over a lush and hilly terrain. It also boasts beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the city skyline. In addition to golf, Bala Golf Club offers a variety of amenities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, a fitness center, and a clubhouse with dining and event spaces. The club has hosted numerous golf tournaments and events over the years, including the Philadelphia Open and the Philadelphia PGA Championship. It has also played host to many famous golfers, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tommy Armour.
