Somerset Hills is a historic golf club located in Bernardsville, New Jersey. The club was founded in 1899 and its original golf course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast, a famous golf course architect. The course has since been redesigned by other architects, including Robert Trent Jones Sr. The course is known for its immaculate conditioning and challenging layout, with tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Somerset Hills has hosted numerous prestigious golf tournaments, including the 1937 U.S. Amateur Championship, the 2003 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, and the 2012 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship. The club also has a rich history of notable members, including Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Gerald Ford, as well as several famous businessmen and politicians.
