Hodge Park is a 1040-acre park located in the northern part of Kansas City, Missouri. It is known for its beautiful scenic views and variety of recreational activities. The park contains several picnic areas, playgrounds, ball fields, a golf course, and three fishing lakes. One of the unique features of Hodge Park is its Native American burial grounds. The park was named after John Hodge, a member of the Wyandot tribe, who is buried there along with other members of his tribe. Hodge Park also offers several hiking and biking trails, including a 3.5 mile trail that winds through the woods and along the shore of the largest lake in the park. In the winter, the park is a popular spot for sledding and snowshoeing.
