About Ft Belvoir Fairfax
Fort Belvoir is a United States Army installation located in Fairfax County, Virginia. It was established in 1917 and currently serves as the headquarters for the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Technical Information Center, Military District of Washington, and many other agencies. The base covers over 8,700 acres and is home to over 20,000 military and civilian personnel. It has a variety of facilities, including housing, schools, medical centers, and recreational areas. The base also has a rich history, having served as a training ground for soldiers during World War II and the Vietnam War. Today, Fort Belvoir remains an important center for military operations and support.
