About Japeri Golf Club
Japeri Golfe, established in 2006 in Japeri, Rio de Janeiro, is Brazil's first public golf course. Designed by Ricardo Pradez, the 9-hole, par-69 course spans 5,379 yards and features a parkland layout. The club is renowned for its social initiatives, notably the Japeri Golf School, which provides free golf education and citizenship lessons to local children from underprivileged backgrounds. Supported by the R&A and local benefactors, Japeri Golfe has become a model for social inclusion through sport in Brazil.
