Cookies

GolfingRecord uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies to keep you signed in across page navigations, remember your preferences (such as your selected handicap system, default course on the Rounds page, and chosen tee colours), and to measure how the service is used in aggregate so we can prioritise improvements. We do not use cookies for advertising personalisation, and the analytics data we collect is anonymised at the source so individual users can't be re-identified from it.

The strictly necessary cookies — the ones that keep you signed in and protect against cross-site request forgery — can't be disabled while still using the service; signing in without them is impossible. The functional cookies that remember your preferences are optional, but turning them off means re-selecting your defaults on every visit. Analytics cookies are opt-out via your browser's "Do Not Track" header or by clearing them after each visit.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser's settings. This page lists each category of cookie we set, why it's used, how long it lasts before being refreshed or expiring, and which third-party services (Auth0 for sign-in, Stripe for payments, Google Analytics for usage measurement) set their own cookies when you interact with their features.
